Advanced Car Technologies

Posted by on 1/2/2014 to Info News

The first new technology is the development of heated and cooled seats. While heated seats have already been implemented for a while now, the addition of the cooling option is also gaining in popularity. These seats are usually designed with little pinholes to allow the flow of cool air from a fan or air conditioning unit that has been embedded in the seat.

Blind spot detection is also emerging as a useful device. It emits a beep when driving too close to the lane divider when you are not using your blinkers, but when using the turn signal you are free to change lanes silently.

Another recent technology includes run-flat tires. These tires are structured internally and externally to provide an additional 50 miles of travel when you experience a flat tire so you can make it to a gas station.

The advanced keyless entry system is another recent addition that allows you to start your car remotely while the keyless system remains in your pocket or purse. Doors can also be unlocked remotely and the engine is started with a button on the dash, so to protect from potential theft, the car is designed to shut-off the engine when leaving the proximity of the system.
