Mechanics Time Saver 7300 Hot Stop Paste, 14.1 oz.
HOT STOP Thermal Shield Gel is designed to stop heat from traveling through most metals as well as other materials. The beneficial effects cannot be underestimated. HOT STOP will help prevent distortion to metals and plastics caused by heat. Simply apply a bead of HOT STOP to the entire exposed surface to be protected and it will absorb the heat from welding, brazing or soldering.
The one property that makes HOT STOP truly amazing is the ability to provide a heat barrier from direct open flame contact. HOT STOP will keep materials cool, even under contact with Map Gas and welding torches. The heat barrier is so efficient, HOT STOP can be applied to thin plastic or rubber and a direct flame from a Map Gas torch (3000° F) will not even distort the material.
