MPA 5025 English Wheel / Planishing Hammer Combination.
The English Wheel Planishing Hammer combo unit is designed for the professional fabricator and builder in the Automotive, Motorcycle and Aeronautics industries. Constructed of heavy duty 3" x 2" x .250" wall and 2” x 2” x .250” wall steel tubing and gussets provides the strength and rigidity needed for most heavier gauge forming jobs up to 14 gauge steel or aluminum. The 44" throat depth accommodates larger shapes. The 8” diameter x 3” wide upper wheel is machined from 4140 solid steel with a surface finish rating of 63 and rides on sealed roller bearings to provide accurate concentricity. The lower anvils ride on tapered roller bearings and are adjustable side to side for precision alignment to create consistent tracking needed during fabrication. Two lower anvils are included (please specify when ordering, ranging from 1” to 3” in increments of .250”). Anvils are precision-machined and hardened to exact specifications for durability, precision alignment and tracking. Our technical service department can provide assistance for any special jobs or can create any anvil to your specifications. The upper wheel and lower anvil have heavy duty rotating steel mounting plates with six (6) locking and aligning positions to maintain constant datum lines. The lower stationary yoke is made of seamless Telespar tubing and has four (4) t-bar handles to hold and lock the movable yoke for extra stability. The movable yoke rides on a precision acme lead screw in a roller bearing for smooth easy height adjustment with a kick wheel. The unit comes with welded footplates with holes for anchoring to floor and for leveling screws for precision adjustment (anchoring and leveling screws sold separately). Planishing Hammer changeover kit consists of all necessary brackets, anvils, and proprietary planishing cylinder made in USA. Optional four (4) caster steel wheels (2 Locking) are available upon request. Unit is made completely in the USA and carries a two-year manufacturer’s defect warranty.
