MPA 5023 Heavy Duty Planishing Hammer.
The Heavy Duty Planishing Hammer is designed for the professional fabricator and builder in the Automotive, Motorcycle and Aeronautics industries. Constructed of heavy duty 3" x 2" x .250" wall and 2” x 2” x .250” wall steel tubing and gussets provides the strength and rigidity needed for most heavier gauge forming jobs up to 14 gauge steel or aluminum. The 44" throat depth accommodates larger shapes. The pneumatic cylinder used on this machine was developed solely for Planishing work. It is completely made in the USA and was designed with components that could withstand long periods of constant reciprocating action which is what is needed when forming metal or similar type materials It is controlled by a precision flow control valve which can operate the hammer from 0 Beats per Minute (BPM) up to nearly 3000 BPM. The lower stationary yoke is made of seamless Telespar tubing and has four (4) T-bar handles to hold and lock the movable yoke for extra stability. The movable yoke rides on a precision acme lead screw in a roller bearing for smooth easy height adjustment with a large kick wheel. Unit is completely mobile with 4 heavy duty locking swivel casters. Unit ships with 5 anvils, Crowning, Shrinking, Flattening and two (2) Forming. Beautiful powder coated finish. Unit can be converted to a Heavy Duty English Wheel with Optional Conversion Kit.. Our technical service department can provide assistance for any special jobs or can create any anvil to your specifications. Unit is made completely in the USA and carries a two-year manufacturer’s defect warranty.
