Kastar 3078 Feeler Gauge Set, Jacobs Engine Brakes-Detroit Diesel.
This set contains all the gauges required to set slave piston lash on Detroit Diesel engines. Set consists of 4" offset feeler gauges with 0.002" step Go-No-Go.
Feeler gauge blades are in the thicknesses required by each Jacobs Engine Brake model.
0.002" step is on the bottom side of the blade so that the Go-No-Go can be felt against the exhaust rocker arm adjusting screw or exhaust valve bridge (depending on the model engine).
Blade sizes and usage:
0.019" - 0.021" Series 60 model years 1999 and before;
0.022" - 0.024" Series 60 all model years, Series 50;
0.025" - 0.027" Series 60 all model years, Series 50;
0.031" - 0.033" Series 60 model year 2000 and after
0.058" - 0.060" Series 71, Series 92;
0.063" - 0.065" Series 71, Series 92.
