EPA recently approved the use of the same manifold gauge set for different refrigerants.
Here are the EPA requirements:
A different set of hoses which have unique fittings at the system/equipment/refrigerant-source connection must be used for each refrigerant.
These unique fittings must be permanently attached to the hoses.
Refrigerant must be recovered from the hoses before changing to another refrigerant for the procedure to be legal.
You can now legally convert your R12 manifold to R134a with MASTERCOOL conversion hoses and R134a couplers.
The red and blue hoses have a 1/4 flare female on the manifold end and a 14mm male on the coupler (service connection) end. The yellow hose has 1/4 flare female on the manifold end and 1/2" ACME auto shut-off valve on the end which connects to the refrigerant supply, vacuum pump, recycler, etc. All hoses are 72" in length.
