Kent-Moore Tools
Kent-Moore J-42743 Trim Height Adjustment Tool for GM.

The front transverse leaf spring has adjustable bolts to allow the vehicle ride (trim) height to be set to the proper specifications. J 42743 relieves the tension on the spring. If the bolt is turned while the spring is under tension, damage to the bolt will occur. Place tool in lower front control arm and rotate forcing screw to contact spring to raise spring off control arm. Turn adjustment until proper trim height is obtained. Retract forcing screw allowing contact of spring on control arm. Measure trim height with J 42854. The J 42743 trim height adjustment tool is used only on the front suspension. Procedure for rear height adjustment is different. Applications: CORVETTE, XLR.
