Kent-Moore DT-49911 Gauge Plate, Pinion Shim

The RDMs on the 2010 Camaro use a hypoid ring and pinion set. The pinion is shimmed in relation to the ring gear for service life and operation. Whenever shim selection is required, existing components of J-34925 Pinion Setting Gauge Kit are used, along with DT-49911 Gauge Plate. DT-49911 has two steps, one for the 195 mm ring gear and one for the 218 mm ring gear. DT-49911 attaches to components of J-34925, at the inboard surface of the inner pinion bearing. Once the bearings are preloaded, DT-49911 is used with J-21777-1 Arbor and J-8001 Dial Indicator (from J-34925) to select the required shim.
