Armstrong Tools
Armstrong Chain Pipe Tong with Double End Jaw, 3/4" to 4" Capacity.

The favorite style for general, all-around use, these tongs feature an extra large hardened steel bolt.
If teeth become dull or burred from long use, simply reverse them end for end. This feature doubles the life of the tool.
The connecting link is drop forged from alloy steel.

All components of Armstrong Chain Tongs are chosen to provide a durable, long-lasting tool, strong beyond need, and with the professional appearance experienced users expect from their pipe tools.

JAWS
Drop forged from alloy steel, chain tong jaws are carefully milled and heat treated. They are tested for strength and wearability and finished in a bright red baked-on enamel. Pipe capacity, in both inches and millimeters, is forged into sides of each jaw.

HANDLES
Only selected alloy steel is used to provide the correct degree of stiffness without risking brittleness. After forging, handles are grit blasted and oil coated.

CHAIN
Flat link chains, the key to any top quality tong, are manufactured in our own plant. After careful heat treating, they are proof-tested under quality control. Each chain is shipped with a lead seal indicating it has been tested to 2/3 of its cataloged breaking strain.
